Education
The National Stud has been one of the world’s leading providers of Thoroughbred industry education for over 30 years.
Starting with the Diploma in Stud Practice and Management in 1986, the Education programme has evolved over the years and now spans the full spectrum – from those with little or no experience with Thoroughbreds, to short courses and learning programmes for those already working at a senior level in the industry. All courses are tailored to provide learners with the industry knowledge and practical training required for a successful career in their chosen field.
The qualifications offered are accredited by the industry’s awarding body 1st4Sport. In addition to residential and short courses, we offer a range of qualifications which can be delivered and assessed in the workplace.
The Education programme is generously funded by industry partners and charitable trusts including -
The Horserace Betting Levy Board
The Thoroughbred Breeders Association
The Racing Foundation
The Wavertree Education Trust
The Alborada Trust
The EB Moller Trust
Tattersalls
The Gerald Leigh Charitable Trust
